Connect 3CX Phone System to TIM4biz

3CX is an open-standards, software-based PBX that operates with IP phones and SIP trunks providing a complete Unified Communications solution. Both on-premise and cloud installations are supported. Configure 3CX to send CDR records to TIM4biz to unlock over 100 call accounting, billing and toll-fraud reports.

Create your TIM4biz account

Start with a trial account. We'll send your 3CX credentials once you're set up.

  1. Create your TIM4biz trial account at account sign up.
  2. We'll send your 3CX collector credentials to you. These include the TIM4biz CDR host, port and account identifier you'll need for the configuration below.
  3. Configure 3CX CDR output as described below.
  4. Sign in to your TIM4biz account to view your reports. Reports can be run interactively on the website and can be scheduled to be automatically emailed to you.

3CX CDR configuration

All CDR fields are required. In the 3CX CDR settings go to the Configure CDR Output fields section and click Add CDR. Enable every field listed below.

Navigate to: 3CX Console → Settings → CDR → Configure CDR Output fields

callidThe Call ID — the unique identifier of the call.

to-noDestination To Number.

final-numberFinal number — the final number which was replaced (on a transfer this is the final connected number).

bill-codeBilling code dialled after the destination.
bill-rateThe billing rate that matched the prefix of the rate. Used to apply a cost calculation variance.
bill-costThe cost of the call calculated with simple proportion / minute.
bill-nameThe rate name of the billing variance.
chainAll endpoints which were involved in the call.

Click OK then Apply to save the 3CX CDR settings. New calls will begin flowing to TIM4biz immediately.
